Double points finish for Team Toth at Magny-Cours

Toth and Ryzmayer were 12th and 13th at the flag in race two.

The French Round proved to be a great one for the Team Toth BMW, who placed both riders Imre Toth Jr and Gabor Rizmayer within the top-15 in the second outing at Magny-Cours last Sunday. After struggling with the electronics for the majority of the weekend and finishing a lonely 20th in race one, Imre Toth Jr was thirteenth at the flag in the second encounter behind teammate Gabor Rizmayer.

Rizmayer, who is currently replacing injured Peter Sebestyen after stepping in for Imre Toth Jr himself earlier in the season, also had a tough time before race two as he crashed out three times, once in first free practice and twice on the last day, which gave the team a lot of work to do in a short period of time.
The team is now preparing for the last event of the season, taking place at the Losail International Circuit, Qatar, on November 2nd.

Imre Toth Jr :“Our luck turned in the end, but the whole weekend was very, very hard. During Sunday's Warm-Up session, the bike lost traction control, which meant we went out on track for the first race without a proper wet setup. The first race was a mess, I even went back to the pit to do something with the bike, but nothing worked. I finished the race, without traction control. The second race was a bit better, yet still very tough even staying on the bike. I managed to score three points finishing in the 13th place. I'm very happy with that, but we need to make some changes. The team immediately sent the ECU back to Italy, because that is the source of our problems. The gearbox not working properly with that, the traction control failed, even the dashboard went dark during the second race. We really do hope MoTeC can fix it for Losail, and we can improve in every possible way. I want to thank my team and crew their all weekend long hard work.”

Gabor Rizmayer: “It was a long and tough weekend. I sadly crashed during the first free practice, the team fixed the bike with an incredible effort. After a bad qualifying for me and Imre too, we missed out on the Superpole session. Our luck turned to the worst when during the warm up I crashed the bike again. But the team proved again, we never ever give up. The bike was ready for the first race. I lost the bike on the 8th lap and that was it again... The second race was very hard too, with a wrong tyre choice my pace was needless to say, not that what we wanted. But with keeping the bike on track and finishing in the 12th place scoring four points was our reward for working all weekend long with an enormous effort. I would like to thank my crew's work and dedication.”
